GTI

Based on the fantastic arcade game GTI Club this game would allow single and multiplayer play in a series of European towns with the facility to create your own tracks and garnish with a selection of buildings, peoples, street furniture and vehicles.

                                                                                           

A prototype exists from the early days at Criterion Games but the love for the game is still as strong as it ever was and there still seems to be no resolution to MAME running the arcade version. 


                                                                                                                                     

                                                     

Vertigo, or Stig as it was called briefly

                                                             

After playing Shadow of The Collossus and falling in love with the control mechanism and gameplay mechanics coupled with the love of having a level based game where you can jump between platforms that get progressivlely higher, Vertigo essentially allows you to jump , swing, balance, grab onto and hangoff a set of static and dynamic unstable moving platform in order to reach the exit at the top of each level. Much like SOC some might say ;-)

                                                 

Physics and dynamic player control play a big part in the game as you strive to obtain all the items for collection while making your way to the top.

                                                           

I played around for a while with this and this was a great way to learn how to create and model my own character, animate better and improve my animation system and create some nifty IK solutions. Maybe one day I'll resurrect it but for now it is shelved.
