Apartments allows you to customise an Apartment Block and then register it online if you wish, at this point Apartments Tenants known as ATs for short can move into your Apartment Block.



ATs can either be computer generated or more interestingly created by people, they are 'born' adult by the creation of a player and a whole host of information that defines the AT can be set including style of clothes, sex, hair,skin colour, temperament, likes and dislikes, musical tastes, type of wallpaper they like, etc.



ATs also have a passport where they record where they have been and for how long, so you can create an AT which lived in your Apartment Block for a while and then they decide to move out into another registered Apartment Block, which could be anywhere in the world. Sometime down the line the AT could move back into your Apartment Block and you could check out their passport to see where they have been since they've been gone.


Personality

ATs also have a personality that is defined by the player or automatically when they are created, throughout the game though they will ask questions of you and the answers to these questions will also help shape their personality even more.

Essentially ATs then go around their normal lives, eating, sleeping,watching TV,playing games,sociallising at the local bar or disco that is located in the Apartment Block. Their long term aim is to find a soul mate and your role, if you wish, is to help them achieve this by trying to convince to do certain things or setting up meetings, whatever gets the result. For example if they cannot dance and need to in order to meet someone who loves dancing you can try and pursuade them to go to the hifi and start dancing, or you can turn it on for them. They may or may not like this suggestion, they may just get really annoyed and go and sit in the bathroom for a while or leave your Apartment Block altogther, or they may take your suggestion and try to learn to dance making them more confident to dance at the disco.

Alternatively you can annoy them, break things, turn the lights on and off, divert the  janitor to the bar so the ATs flood isn't fixed, how you treat your ATs is your choice but remember ATs have feelings too...

Furniture / budget

ATs have their own significant taste, whether is be through their clothes, music or furniture, all of which can be defined by the player when the AT is born.
